About Kobe Port Tower
AboutKobe Port Tower was born in 1963 with the idea of creating a landmark worthy of Kobe Port, which represents Japan.
Its beautiful appearance, resembling an elongated drum due to its hyperboloid structure, earned it the nickname 'Beauty of the Iron Tower', and it has been beloved by the people of Kobe for nearly 60 years.
In the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake that occurred in 1995, the tower was light up again on Valentine's Day, which was 28 days after the earthquake, to cheer people up as the city of Kobe suffered extensive damage.
Since then, it has become a symbol of hope called a ""light in the hearts"" of citizens.
The view of Kobe from the observation floor and rooftop deck offers a panoramic view of ""the sea and blue sky"", and ""sparkling night view"" of the port, city, and Rokko Mountains.
Please enjoy the beautiful time and scenery that change throughout the four seasons.
